Are you considering coaching?
When there are one or more areas of your life where you feel stuck, confused, or out of alignment, coaching is a great resource for support. Coaching is also great when you want support and encouragement to live a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life. During your dedicated private and confidential coaching sessions (and reflections in between sessions) you will gain clarity, insight, motivation, and skills to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
If you have set life, career, or relationship goals and want support in achieving them, coaching can help you overcome barriers to realize your aspirations. (Don’t worry, if you’re not even sure what goals you may want to set and achieve, we can work that out together.)
Coaching will support you to:
(1) Set and achieve life, career, and relationship goals;
(2) Address specific problems and challenges in goal achievement;
(3) Enhance relational skills to enable healthy relationships;
(4) Develop insight, situational awareness, self-regulation, and life skills;
(5) Develop a lifestyle rooted in self-care, self-awareness, and wellness.
Because I’m a licensed psychotherapist and long-term student-practitioner of spiritual principles and practices, I integrate techniques and information from psychology and spirituality into our work. However, if what you’re dealing with has you feeling sad, anxious, or struggling to make it through each day, instead of coaching, I encourage you to consider psychotherapy.
How does coaching work?
Our initial meeting includes an invitation for you to identify strengths and areas of potential growth or concern in 12 dimensions of wellness: mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, sexual, relational, creative, vocational, financial, environmental, community, and systems. I’ll ask a series of questions that will let me get to know you and understand your aspirations. From there we will set goals for our work together, and plan for how best to proceed.
How can coaching work for couples?
If you and your partner are seeking support to strengthen your relationship and overcome one or more life events that has proven challenging for both of you, couples coaching may be an good next step. In sessions you can both assess the strengths and challenges in your lives (individually and as a couple), set goals, and work to achieve those goals. Sessions will support getting clarity in your relationship, strengthen communication skills, address issues and concerns, and allow your relationship to evolve while working towards your goals.
